First Blanket

So I've been trying to keep occupied and focused on positive thoughts while waiting for another ultrasound. So I made the babe or babies a blanket :) Took me two days, totally out of my head. I put the new reborn doll there for reference. She's about the length of a newborn.

I'm focused on blue, pink and white for some reason this time around. I basically walked down the yarn aisle and this is what I wanted :) So this is what I'm doing. I still have the blankets (most of them) that I made for Em...but I wanted something fresh and new for this wee one or wee ones.

Belly Shot...

Not sure how far along I cam, but I've been bloated like this for two weeks...sucking it in just hurts, so I feel like I'm 40 weeks pregnant already :\ blah

TWINS?

So went and got my HCG levels and have an ultrasound.
Levels are as follows:
June 15th - 249
June 18th - 487
June 21 - 1029

So they are climbing like they should be :)

So then there was the ultrasound today....
Do you see two sacs?

Look again:
Yup...the tech said...looks like you might be having two!

So after the spotting yesterday I did NOT expect to walk in with THIS kind of news, lol. But I'm okay with it :) We wanted three kids...so this sort of finishes it up for us :) I will more than likely need to go in for some more ultrasounds so it can verify things, but the other kicker is that we might NOT be as far along as we thought...I might have gotten the BFP literally at like three weeks along...so waiting to hear from the doc...

Light Bleeding

JUST ONCE...it would be nice to be in a first trimester with no bleeding...I guess this baby didn't want to be left out.

I had a major sneezing fit this morning...had some mild cramping after it, sat down for a bit and then went back to filling memory boxes. Went potty later to find some light red spotting. Ofcourse I freaked out. Jason is out of town and so I'm here alone dealing with this. Called the doc. She said to take it easy. Go in for my HCG and then rest. (which is sort of hard since my bed is covered with boxes). But then I go for an ultrasound tomorrow morning. So I will be a bundle of nerves tonight!

An hour after the fact and the bleeding has stopped and even turned more brownish. But this mommy will always worry...once bitten twice shy.

Morning--rather Afternoon sickness

So there really is NOTHING humorous about nausea :\ It seems to be getting worse by the flipping day. What once was just for a little while in the late afternoon is turning into most of the night. And I forgot to get gum today while I went shopping :\ It's now 10 and I still feel sick since like 2 this afternoon...looks like I get blessed with it this pregnancy...which is making me think boy but Em is convinced we are going to have a sister, but she also keeps telling me to bring baby Autumn home...so she doesn't quite get the baby is in ME yet, lol.

On the upside i did purchase what I think might make a really cute outfit for a series of photos for my belly shots :) So stay tuned :) lol.

And how's mom doing?
Choo choo! The same lame symptom train has arrived in Puke Town for up to 80% of pregnant women this week!To lessen your symptoms, buckle down and focus on cleaning up your diet. Skip greasy spicy foods, drink lots of water, eat several small meals throughout the day, take plenty of naps.
If you're like most pregnant women, you'll be feeling the typical oh-so-fun nausea kicking in some time this week. If you don't, then chances are you're in the clear - but don't blame us if we're wrong! There are always a handful of women who are officially morning-sickness late-bloomers with two weeks more to go before the nausea sets in.
You're more likely to end up with morning sickness if you're carrying twins (or more!), or have experienced it in an earlier pregnancy. Also, if you've ever experienced nausea or vomiting with birth control pills, then you can expect to have morning sickness with this pregnancy (and hopefully be pleasantly surprised when you don't!).
To lessen your symptoms, buckle down and focus on cleaning up your diet. Skip greasy spicy foods, drink lots of water, eat several small meals throughout the day, take plenty of naps. For those of you without morning sickness: bask in the fact you're just one of the lucky 20% of pregnant women who never actually experience morning sickness, you lucky non-puker, you!

Numbers Climbing :)

Got the call from the docs office. My HCG levels are going up so thats a great sign :) I go in for another round Thursday and then bloodwork and ultrasound Friday :)

Week 6

Week Six: The heart begins to beat

You are 6 weeks pregnant. (four weeks from conception)
  • The embryo has reached a size of about 8 mm (1/4 inch) in length.
  • The spinal cord, which until now has been open, is beginning to close.
  • The first blood cells and blood vessels are developing.
  • Blood moves through these primitive vessels connected to the yolk sac.
  • A pipe-shaped heart is formed and begins to beat.
  • The brain begins to divide into 5 parts.
  • Optic pits form the start of the developing eye.
  • The cells destined to be the arms and legs are in place.
You might not be able to stop yawning long enough to read this! Your baby develops rapidly during the first few weeks of pregnancy, which is why women tend to feel so tired in the first trimester. To help your baby thrive, you need plenty of rest and early nights, as well as fresh air, regular exercise and a healthy diet. Sleeping in a jog bra can help the breast soreness.

Many of your symptoms are the same as last week. Some women may also get headaches from the rise in hormones. There are also a lot of women who will have none of these symptoms. They will sail through early pregnancy without vomiting or being light headed. For a lot of women this can be normal as well. Do not panic if you do not have pregnancy symptoms, although you should contact your care provider if you suddenly lose your pregnancy symptoms.

embryo 5 weeksAt this time the embryo is still smaller than the size of a raisin. Low on the sides of the head are two folds of tissue that will become the ears. Although not completely developed, all the major body organs and systems are formed. The heart also forms, and it begins to beat on the 25th day after conception (about 6 weeks after the last menstrual period), and a heart beat can already be detected.

The neural tube enlarges into three parts, that will soon to develop to become a very complex brain. Also the placenta begins functioning, known as the chorionic villi and the umbilical cord, through which the baby will receive nourishment and oxygen. The spine and spinal cord grows faster than the rest of the body at this stage and will give the appearance of a tail. This will disappear as the baby continues to grow.

More Blood Taken

Got a call this afternoon about wanting me to go for more blood work to check my levels again. So I went in. I'm hoping tomorrow they find out all is well and I don't have to go back again....

First Appointment

We went in a saw El-kassis for the first time. Nothing really to report. Standard check-up and then we talked about the cerclage, etc. Looks like mid August I will be having the surgery. Went for blood work after the appointment to check my HCG levels (pregnancy hormone)

Belly Shot

First belly shot. I hate my picture being taken :\ I didn't feel AS bloated today, but I assure you some of that belly is bloat and the rest is fat, lol.

5 weeks

LOL this is totally how I feel right now. I might be considered the annoying patient but I hated the idea of waiting TWO weeks for a doctor to confirm things. So I called a different office, who sent me back to the original office. All I wanted was a blood test :\ You would think someone somewhere could have just written up some orders to let me have it drawn to just CHECK things. So now I will be meeting some nurse practioner on friday. Nothing against them, it's just not Kassis, but I should still have my appointment with her the following Friday.

This pregnancy seems to already be starting different. I do NOT remember bring this bloated with the other two! I already feel like I'm 9 months pregnant. I tried some lemon water to flush things, but ya that did nothing. So I will cope. I also am having some pukey feelings. Usually later in the day. But the fact I have been  having trouble sleeping could be making that worse I think :\ So we will see what the coming weeks bring.

Rainbow

It's very fitting I think that we ate rainbow cake to celebrate today.

This child isn't so much our "rainbow" baby. That is typically reserved for the child that you have right after a loss, but I feel Em was my healer. This child so much more feels like a rainbow. Maybe it's the year we've had? So many negative things happening over and over..and now finally a positive :)

Like a rainbow after a storm.

BFP :)

It's as official as it has to be for me to be super excited...we have conceived our third child after over a year of trying. In all fairness our "year" hasn't been 12 complete perfect TTC months, well with moving and a flood  happening things get messed up...BUT it's FINALLY happened :)

I have been awful at keeping up with baby numbers 1 and 2s blogs, but I hope to do what I did with both of them and have at least a record of their firsts  :)
